Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox went to her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She took a course in harpsichord and the flautist piano for three years. Lennox lived on an allowance for students and went on part-time employment to augment her budget. Lennox made the decision to alter her path in life after she became dissatisfied by her lack of skill in comparison with others Royal Academy students. Lennox played flute in the band Dragons Playground in 1976. But she quit prior to her group being asked to participate in I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she served as the main vocalist of The Tourists, a British Pop group. The band was where she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they formed their duo Eurythmics. Then, Lennox began working for her debut album as a solo artist Diva and it came out in 1992. It was a huge success both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album was released in November 2014. The C.D. Lennox selected her favorites blues soul tracks from her childhood. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox released Lepidoptera a collection of four improvised piano tracks. The E.P. is an accompanying piece for her installation of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled"Now, I'll let You Go... It's also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish artist and singer born on December 25, 1954. In the late 70s, she gained a little fame when members in The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international recognition in the 80s as Eurythmics. Lennox started her own solo career when she released her debut album Diva in 1992. It was the basis of many hit songs like Walking through the Broken Glass. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. It has covers of some songs, including"No MoreI love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. She has released six solo album compilations and studio albums.
